COVID-19 Policy
Updated Dec 2022
We all have a responsibility to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep ourselves, our co-workers, and others safe. COVID-19 also uniquely affects employability in the entertainment industry, in which many of our students and teachers make their primary living. We ask that everyone attending in-person classes be DILIGENT in adhering to our requirements. Please do not take risks with your classmates’ and teachers’ health and ability to be on set!
Vaccination Requirement:
We encourage but DO NOT REQUIRE participants and teachers in our in-person classrooms to be “fully vaccinated”. We understand and respect that there are many reasons why an individual may not be fully vaccinated. But since many of our students and teachers make their primary living as actors, even a mild case of COVID-19 can put them out of work we do encourage vaccination where possible.
Mask/Face Covering:
While we continue to review and evaluate safety protocols as needed, we will maintain the right to require everyone to wear a mask when not eating, drinking, or standing in front of the camera to be filmed regardless of vaccination status. We will make that decision based on the current levels of Covid-19 transmission rates and if they, in our judgement, warrant that requirement.
Health Checks:
Students and teachers agree to stay home from if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms which are not explained by a pre-existing condition: Fever or chills · Cough · Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing · Fatigue · Muscle or body aches · Headache · New loss of taste or smell · Sore throat · Congestion or runny nose · Nausea or vomiting · Diarrhea
Students and teachers agree to stay home from class if they or someone in their household has tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 5 days or if they are awaiting the results of a Covid-19 test.
We will offer makeup options to anyone who needs to miss an in-person class due to COVID-19.
Release of Liability:
Students understand The Green Room, Inc. cannot be held liable for any exposure to the COVID-19 virus caused by misinformation on this form or the health history provided by each client, and release The Green Room from any and all liability for unintentional exposure or harm due to COVID-19.
